Allaah Ta’aala says in the Qur’an for those mumineen who repents and cleanses themselves, “Innallaaha yohibbut tawwaabeena wa yohibbul motatahhereen” – “Indeed Allaah loves those who repents for their evil deeds and loves those who purifies or cleanses themselves.” Rasoolullaah (saws) says in his Hadees – “Laa salaata illa be-tohoorin” – “There is no Namaaz without cleanliness.” Hence it is clear that before one intends to perform Namaaz he must clean himself of all physical impurities or dirt. The first step to Namaaz is Wuzoo or better called as “Ritual Purity”, because it consists of several rituals or acts of cleaning the parts of body in a particular sequence. One cannot be regarded as ritually clean or pure if he does not perform Wuzoo correctly in the sequence. Just like deeds are based on the intentions, Namaaz is based upon Wuzoo. There is no Namaaz without Wuzoo. Performing Wuzoo is half of the Imaan and the first requirement of Imaan is Wuzoo. |

Since Wuzoo is an integral part of the Shari’at of Allaah it is very important that every mumin should know how to perform Wuzoo correctly. Though Wuzoo is taught in the Madrasah, but with the passing time, many things are forgotten which should be refreshed in the minds of the mumineen. Considering these facts, Huzoor-e-‘Aali Saiyedna Saheb (tus) gave Razaa Mubaarak to compose a Video of Wuzoo which would be helpful to the students of Madrasah as well as to the mumineen in general too. We have composed a detailed video of the Wuzoo which includes the audio-visual method of performing the Wuzoo along with the recitation of the Du’aas and its translation. The video is recorded in two languages – Lisaan ud-Da’wat (Gujarati) and English (for the mumineen who have difficulty in reading and understanding Lisaan ud-Da’wat). This would also be helpful to the mumineen who wants to correct their Wuzoo before going to Hajj and ‘Umrah. This Video DVD of the Wuzoo has got released during Laylat un-Nisf (Shab-e-Baraat) from the Markaz of Da’wat-e-Shareefah. Mumineen should therefore avail this opportunity and get it as early as possible.
